I chose to work at Care UK because of its reputation for delivering excellent quality care, plus the high standards set at Caledonian Court appealed to me.
Before joining the team here, I was a divisional director, so I’ve had many years of management experience. One major career highlight for me was delivering a £73.1 million hospital early and under budget.
I think it’s important for any manager to be friendly and approachable. You also need to be pretty determined but also care about what you do.
What I love most about this role is the level of interaction between the Caledonian Court team and residents. This is a safe and happy environment, and it always makes me feel good to see the support and mutual respect everyone has for each other.
Outside of work, I am a qualified football referee. I also enjoy the great outdoors and like to play golf, as well as go walking and travelling.
