Welcome to Armstrong House

Our care home is a modern, purpose-built home where our friendly and compassionate team provides exceptional residential and nursing care, dementia care and palliative and end of life care.

Armstrong House is a purpose-built care home, each bedroom is light, airy and comfortable with en-suite facilities, a 24-hour nurse call system and telephone and TV connections. Our care home even has a hair and nail salon.

When you join us, we will work with you and your family to learn everything we can about your life history, needs, likes and dislikes. Then we’ll design care and activity plans tailored to your unique needs and preferences. We’re known for our talented chefs, and they’ll work with you to create bespoke menus.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

My role is centred around making sure residents and families are happy, and my favourite part of my job is spending time with residents and their relatives.

Amazing team! I don't know what we would have done without them. When our loved one first moved into the home she didn't want to be there and there were lots of ups and downs. I found this very upsetting at first, but the team were so kind and supportive. They are so experienced and understood it was a lot for me. They supported the entire family, not just our loved one. The carers and nursing team get to know residents extremely well. They take the time to understand them as individuals, and they spend time with them. My loved one can be demanding. She likes attention, and the carers are wonderful with her. They take it in turns to pop in for a chat and keep her company. She's never lonely.

We are quite new to the home and everyone has been so kind and welcoming. My loved one has a variety of cognitive issues and the team has accommodated for his needs very well. They helped us to make his room as comfortable and familiar as possible, fitted out with his own curtains, furniture and pictures on the wall. It just feels so calm and relaxed whenever we visit... it's a nurturing environment, which is more than we could have hoped for.

The team is exceptionally caring, and they really understand the needs of my loved one. They seem to know all of the residents personally and have a natural way of developing relationships with them. My loved one suffers with anxiety and can get quite distressed at times, but they know exactly what triggers her and how to calm her down.

My loved one has Alzheimer's and her needs can vary significantly from day to day. The most important things to me are her safety and her quality of life, both of which caused immense concern before she moved into the home. I sit and watch the care team as they are tending to her, and I see how they are with the other residents, and I have no doubt that my loved one is in the best possible place.
