We have recently been recognised for our dementia training programme, we have been shortlisted in the ‘Best for Training and Development’ category at the Care Home Awards 2022.
The programme helps to promote choice and participation, as well as overall health and wellbeing, for those residents living with dementia. The training has been implemented across our full team and from this, we’ve been able to implement helpful initiatives, such as animal therapy for residents to reduce feelings of stress as well as supporting residents with everyday tasks in the home, which give them a sense of purpose.
