Here at Silversprings, we provide a full range of round-the-clock care, we have the flexibility to meet every need.

We sit down and get to really know your loved one, we are about personal centred care, everyone has their own stories so we would take the time to know that. Our chef would also ask your favourite foods and come and get to know dietary requirements and our maintenance man would even ask if you would like certain photos on the wall, so we try and make it a real home approach.

Our move in process is clear and efficient and that starts with finding the right care for your loved one. We know it can be a challenge, that’s why we have put this useful page together explaining our care.

Would your loved one benefit from moving to a warm and friendly home where they’ll enjoy constant care and attention? 

Residents enjoy a wide range of daily activities, such as flower arranging, baking, gardening and light exercise to help residents keep active and fit. We want to enable your loved one to continue living the lifestyle they love. 

As well as enjoyable outings, activities and entertainment, our chef prepares healthy and delicious meals daily. En-suite rooms are comfortably furnished, offering space and privacy, with beautiful gardens. Our glorious gardens allow residents to relax or to take a stroll. Silversprings also has some feathered friends that visit the duck pond.

Nursing care

Our highly trained and experienced nursing team work closely with GPs and medical specialists, every resident receives a tailored care plan detailing their requirements. We provide support for complex physical conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or motor neurone disease, our team are on the hand around the clock delivery their expert care.

Respite care

Caring for an older loved one at home can be physically and emotionally challenging. Making time for yourself is vital to recharge. Our short-term respite care gives you the chance to have a holiday or to un-wind and take some time out. Is your loved one currently in hospital? Our team are here to help, we can give those hospital leavers extra support before returning home. We support respite residents by considering their support needs, interests, likes and dislikes and daily routines, so they are fit and healthy to return back to their daily activities in their own homes.

End of life care

At Silversprings, we believe that every person deserves to experience a dignified and respectful end of life. Our end-of-life companion, Beverley, will work with you and your loved one, as well as local health professionals and hospice teams to plan your loved one’s care so they are as comfortable as possible, and wishes are arranged.

Dementia care

Our team at Silversprings provides and delivers professional, compassionate care with patience and understanding.

Our team have all undertaken extensive specialist training delivered by the University of Worcester to understand what it feels like to live with dementia and most importantly to support those living with dementia.

Our home is built to maintain a sense of independence in residents and one way is providing them a choice in how they spend their day. If it is choosing to relax in our lounge, enjoy the sunny garden or sit and relax with a cuppa in our dining room. Here at Silversprings we want to retain a sense of identity and independence.

Understanding and getting to know you

We sit down and get to really know your loved one, we are about personal centred care, everyone has their own stories so we would take the time to know that. We understand it can be a difficult time moving a loved one into a care home, so we get to know about your loved one before they arrive at the home so they are greeted, and their room is already as homely as it can be. We learn all about your loved one’s life story and personality and create a memory box of all the things they have done.

Namaste care

We are proud to offer namaste care to residents living with advanced dementia. The purpose of namaste care is to give comfort and pleasure through sensory stimulation. Our namaste sessions are run by trained carers and involve individual caring touch, such as a hand or foot massages, music therapy, themed sensory and gentle movement sessions, or simply reminiscing.

FAQs

Yes, the majority of Care UK homes do provide quality, short term respite care. Many family carers find it a helpful option if they need time to themselves. It’s also a good ‘taster’ of what permanent care would be like. Fees vary from home to home and will depend on your loved one’s needs, so the best option is to contact the home you’re interested in to get a clear idea of cost.

Yes, the majority of our homes provide specialist dementia care. We care for people living with all types of dementia. While we tend to care for older residents, we are able to care for those who live with the condition at a young age. Please do talk to the friendly team at your local Care UK home to find out how they can support you. They’re here to help.

Absolutely. We care for older people who have a variety of needs through residential and nursing care, so you can rest assured that your father will receive the best of care. We also help residents to continue to enjoy a great lifestyle, including doing lifelong hobbies while discovering new interests and enjoying superb food.

There’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach to care ratios. Our care ratios are calculated to take into account the complexity level and general care needs of each resident, so these will vary from suite to suite in each home.

Whenever you have a question about any aspect of your relative’s care, please bring it up as quickly as possible with any of the home team. Usually any issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently, and the earlier we know about it, the better. At Care UK we take quality extremely seriously and we strive to deliver exceptional care to all our residents, but sometimes things do go wrong. In the unlikely event that you have serious concerns about your loved one’s care, please talk to the home manager immediately who will put a plan in place to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Yes we can. The majority of our homes provide specialist dementia care in dedicated dementia suites. These suites have their own dining area and lounge, as well as a number of en-suite bedrooms. They are designed to minimise hustle and bustle, which people living with dementia can find unsettling. The staff who work in these areas have specialist dementia training and experience and can cater for residents with these very specific, high-level needs.

Because we provide such a broad range of services, we can support residents with very high intensity needs. This means that as a person’s condition changes, they can stay in the same familiar home environment supported by people they know and trust.
